This raging light - Estelle Laure (emotional, at times sweet and just great)

This raging light
contemporary young adult
instead of enjoying teenage life
Lucille is struggling to hide that her mom hasn't come back from her "vacation"
and that she and her sister are home alone
and then there is her best friends twin brother Rigby
for years he was just a guy
now she feels deeply whenever she sees him
can Lucille continue to hide what is going on at home?
and what will happen with Rigby?
"This raging light"
is an emotional, fast-paced and very entertaining book
from the first page on I fell in love with the author's writing style
she made me believe in everything that was going on
even though some developments weren't that realistic
and there's one thing that shouldn't have worked for me
but did beautifully
that's how fantastic Estelle Laure's writing style was for me
I loved following Lucille's life
her emotions were at times raw and seemed so real
I enjoyed that a lot
I can't wait to read the companion novel to "This raging light"
But then I came back
I should get the book in the next days
and plan to read it right away.

  1. Glad you enjoyed it so much. Hope you get to the next one soon.

    1. I got the book today and already started to read it. So far it's great.

  2. I read this a while ago and enjoyed it. I was a little bothered by Lucille and Rigby's relationship but overall enjoyed it. I actually got approved on Netgalley for the next book and then forgot to download it so I'll be looking forward to your review so I can decide whether or not to buy the next book.

    1. Their relationship didn't bother me, which was a big and nice surprise for me. I guess that's one of the reasons why the book worked so well for me.
The second book is definitely different from this one, but unfortunately I had some issues with the plot and the main character.

      Happy Reading!
