Consider - Kristy Acevedo

#1 in a duology
young adult scifi
a book unlike everything I have read so far
a heroine with anxiety and family issues
a heroine that wonders if she wants to go on step further with her boyfriend
a heroine living in a world where portals and holograms appear
and declare
that earth will be hit by a comet in a few months
and that the only chance to survive is to go through the portals
as you can see there is a lot going on in the story
at times too much
one or two aspects less would have made it easier
to get more details about certain things
but I still had a very good time with the book
the author's writing style made it easy to get into a good reading flow
and she made me believe in the world she created
the ending of the book changes everything
and I'm excited to find out
what will happen in the second and final book of the duology
if you like special YA books with a touch of SciFi
then this book could be great for you.

  1. This sounds awesome! I love duologies, and a sci-fi book that also explores the more realistic aspects of life sounds right up my alley. Definitely going to check this one out!

    1. I also like duologies, I actually often prefer them over trilogies. So far my favourite duologgy is the Eon/Eona one by Alison Goodman.

      Happy Reading!
