I'm hoping that you all also got some exciting new books in the mail. And btw, the deleted scene from "Anna and the French kiss" is now online, run and read it here.

  1. ...and I cannot lie, these other readers can't deny.
That's the first thing that popped in my head when I read your post title. Nice haul, love those cloth bound books, very pretty. I've been eyeing Hot Ticket and the entire series for while and I'm thinking about adding it to my TBR list, I hope you enjoy it.

    1. LOL, that's a reaction I like.

I actually already read "Hot Ticket" as an e-galley. It was ok, but not as good as the other books in the series. I loved the first three and hope that the last book will be back to great. And I love the clothbound books, they feel and look so special.

  2. I am looking forward to Etiquette and Espionage, it should be on its way home.

    1. Yeah! Hope it will arrive soon. I hope that this new series by Carriger will be as great as the Parasol Protectorate.

  3. Nice pile.
Hope you'll enjoy Angelfall. It's a bit special because the angels are not like 'normal angels' but after you get used to this the whole scenario is great.
I agree with Hot Ticket. I was so excited to read Jaces' story but it was too much moaning and too little dynamic for my liking. I'm reading Etiquette & Espionage right now and so far Sophronia enterains a lot.

    1. I thought "Hot Ticket" was written too much like the self-published books by Cunning, it was as if important parts of the story were missing and the characters were a bit flat. Let's hope that the last book in the series will be back to great. I will read the new book by Carriger in the next days and I have high hopes for it.

      Happy Reading!

  4. I recently reviewed Susan Ee's Angelfall, and it was amazing (the book, I mean, not my review)! If a proper editor and publishing company looked at this, Angelfall would be a publishing goldmine. I really hope you enjoy it! :)

  5. I got Hot Ticket this week too and can't wait to read it! I didn't get Etiquette & Espionage but I can't wait to read it. :) Enjoy your big books!!
