How was your bookish week?

I'm still waiting for the next great book, but I'm ok with it. I reread two great books by Stephanie Perkins this week, I love Anna and Etienne, and I was surprised that I enjoyed "Lola and he boy next boy" way more than when I first read it. I plan to reread some more books by other authors next week, I think it's time to revisit the Chesapeake Bay Saga by Nora Roberts. And of course I will go on with reading new books from my TBR pile.

In the last days I went through all my old blog posts to adjust some things for my new, lovely layout. Now everything looks perfect and I'm very happy. It was fascinating to read some of my first posts and reviews. It made me happy that my blog is in its core pretty much the same as it was nearly four years ago. I liked my blog then and I like it now.

This week I discovered that you can block members on goodreads, so that you won't see their reviews on books you are checking out any longer. I like that, because it helps me to make my Goodreads experience better and less negative. To block a member you have to go to their profile page, scroll down to the bottom and click "block this member".

I'm excited for what the new week will bring and hope that it will be a great one.

How was your bookish week?

  1. My week was...busy with life and less with reading. Trying to catch up today.

I wanna reread some books too because I think your reading slump has reached me...can't decide which book I really wanna read right now so I chose a thriller...well...it's okay so far but it has to get better to make me really like it...

Also hoping for new books in the new week.

Again: I love your new layout!! :)

    1. I hope that your reading slump will be shorter than mine, five weeks with no great books is nothing I wish for you.

And thanks, I'm in love with the new layout and I'm always happy when I see it.

      Have a great new week.

  2. I had a very satisfying bookish week! :] Finished rereading the "Chesapeake Bay" series (I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did. You just have to love those Quinn brothers!) and since I was (am) in a Nora Roberts mood I odered some older books of hers I haven't yet read. Part of my order was the "MacKade" series and I thought reading another family series might be a good idea. I devoured all four stories and loved every second of it! :D
But now I'm a bit reluctant to start a new book since I now it'll be hard to measure up to this great series, so I think I'll take the rest of the day off from reading and just enjoy this feeling of contentment. :]
I'm thinking of rereading "Angels Fall" tomorrow.
Hope the next week will bring a great new book for both of us. ^.^

    1. Sounds like a good plan, after you finished a great series a quiet day is often a good idea. Btw, I love Angels Falls, maybe I should reread it next week. I love the two main characters in this book so much and they are a great pair.

      Have a great new week!

  3. I finished a great book this week, namely Black Lung Captain by Chris Wooding. It's the second Tale of the Ketty Jay and I love the Characters so much. It's a mix of fantasy, steampunk and black humour - and as the frist book of the series it contains a lot of double-crosses.
After such a great start my bookish week hasn't gone so well. I'm reading only a pretty ok book right now and it's more like crawling than reading. Hope the next week will be better.

    1. Black Lung Captain sounds great, I need to check it out.
Hope you will have a great week.
