How was your bookish week?

Another week in June is over and for me it was an ok one. I once again have no favourite books of the week and was a bit disappointed by some books I read this week. Books I was super excited for, but for me there were just ok and at times even a bit blah. But I have learned to deal with such weird phases in which great books seem to avoid me.:) I have a great pile of books picked to read for next week, and I'm sure that one of them will be fantastic.

The things I loved this week are the pretty books I got. Next week I'm expecting some more preordered books and I plan to preorder/order the books I want to get in July. So it's going to be an exciting week. And I will show you my newly rearranged and decorated home library.

I'm wishing you all a great, happy week! I hope you will get the chance to read some great books.

How was your bookish week? What are your highlights from it?

  1. I want to do a Recommend post too, but seriously, I don't know how to start or how to describe the books I want to recommend. Weird. Really. Normally I'm good at writing in english Oo

Oh, I hope this ok thing goes over. I'm sure some good books will find their way to you :)

    1. Thanks, I also hope so. And I hope that you will get your English mojo back. ;)

      Have a great new week!

  2. In which books were you disappointed??
I don't like being disappointed in books I had hopes for. Luckily the book I was waiting for which I finished this morning was so much fun. :)

    Happy Sunday!

    1. Insurgent is one of them. I expected so much of the book, but the book was just ok.:(

      Happy new week!

  3. Not really, actually. Due to examinations, I only managed to finish a book and read the first half of Not dead yet by Peter James.
But I'm finishing with the examinations this week, so reading, here I come ;)

    1. Great to hear that you will have some more time to read from now on. I hate it when I have no time to read.

      Happy Reading!

  4. My highlight of the week was the shorter story "Hearts in Darkness" by Laura Kaye. The ending was a bit abrupt, but apart from that it was a great read. It seems like she wrote a lot of shorter books and right now I'm in the perfect mood for those so right now I'm checking out "North of Need" (first book in a series about the gods that influence the seasons, which IMO is an original idea) and "Her Forbidden Hero". Let's see if I'll like her other books as well. "NoN" began promising. :]
Apart from that I reread "Now You See Her" by Linda Howards which is one of my all time favorite books and one of my first romances I read in English! :)

    1. I love "Now you see her", maybe I should also reread the book soon. :) And I haven't heard of Lauren Kaye before, but I will check her books out.

      Have a great week!
