New books (all bought)
- Epic Faily by Claire LaZebnik
- Leviathan by Scott Westerfield
- Bloodspell by Amalie Howard
In the last two weeks I didn't read anything because all of a sudden I was in a reading slump, but still there are two weeks that I read in the last seven days that I enjoyed a lot. So my two favorite books of the week are
- Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Claire
- Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik
- Bloodspell by Amalie Howard
- How to marry a duke by Vicky Dreiling
Next week I plan to read some of my preordered books which will hopefully arrive plus some books from my TBR pile
- Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel
- Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkina
- No rest for the wicked by Kresley Cole
- The lying game by Sara Shepard
Which books are your favorites of the week?
This time I had a YA reading week - "Lola and the Boy Next Door", "Epic Fail" and "Shut Out" by Kody Keplinger.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I have to say that I was kind of disappointed in "Lola". It was still a great book, but the whole time I kept comparing it with "Anna" (which is stupid, but I just couldn't help it) and it just couln't fully measure up to it... St. Claire spoiled me xD... I did love the scenes where we got to revisit Anna and St. Claire, but the thing that just didn't work for me was the love-triangle. But I can't wait to see what you have to say about it.
"Epic Fail" was just how you described it. Cute, funny and engaging. I really enjoyed it!
"Shut Out" is a book I discovered by sheer luck and I'm soooooo happy about it. It's a sweet story that still manages to get across a very important message - the equality between men and women.
@ Schenni: Wow, you had a great week! And once again you have a book I'm dieing to read :) When I get Lola I will try not to think of Anna too often.
ReplyDeleteYay that you also liked "Epic Fail". And great to hear that you enjoyed Shut Out, I enjoyed the first book by Keplinger but haven't read her new one so far. Bit I think I will get and read Shut out sometimes in the future.
Wishing you a fantastic week!
Thank you :] I'll try Keplinger's "The Duff" next and hope your reading slump will stay far far away (I just hate it when something like that happens - it's just such an uncomfortable and frustation feeling!)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week yourself.
I loved Leviathan and Behemoth. In fact, Behemoth was my favorite September read ... hope you'll enjoy them too :-)
ReplyDelete@ Schenni: Thanks.
ReplyDelete@ Kah Woei: That's good to hear. I'm really excited to read Leviathan because I love trying out new to me authors.
