Books of the week #4

In "Books of the week" I talk about the books I bought & received, the books I enjoyed reading and the books I'm reading right now & I'm planing to read next.

This week I bought four new books

  • Flat-out love by Jessica Parks  - thanks to Chachic for the recommendation
  • Never enough by Lauren Dane
  • Desire's Edge by Eve Berlin
  • Dead, undead or somewhere in between by J.A. Saare - thanks to An Abundance of Books for the recommendation

I had another ok reading week, I managed to read 7 books so I made another dent in my TBR pile. But out of the 7 books 5 were just ok.
At least I read two books this week that were fantastic:

  • Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter
  • Birthmarked by Caragh O'Brien

Right now I'm reading

  • Sternenschimmer by Kim Winter
  • Dead, undead or somewhere in between by J.A. Saare
  • You don't have to say you love me by Sarra Manning (reread)

Next week I plan to read

  • New York to Dallas by J.D. Robb
  • Pleating for mercy by Melissa Bourbon
  • Mark of the demon by Diana Rowland
  • Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

What books are your favorites of the week?

  1. we loved Beautiful Creatures!!

    Here's our IMM

  2. I had a Nalini Singh week! Her awesome new book "Archangel's Blade" came out and I read the whole thing in about six hours. It was just amazing!
Apart from that I've been rereading part of her Psy/Changeling-series. Those books just make me plain happy :D
And I read Marie Force's "Love at First Flight" which (unfortunately) was a big disappointment. Which is so sad because the story had so much potential, but in the end it was just an overly dramatic plot that made me cry more than once (and I'm not talking about the good kind of tears :[ )
Still... September is going to be an awesome reading month, I just know it! "New York to Dallas", "Lola and the Boy Next Door" and "Scored"... I'm really, really, REALLY looking forward to these releases! :D

  3. awake at dawn looks awesome. love the cover. great IMM this week. enjoy all your books and happy reading :)

    enjoy and happy reading!

i hope you can stop by our IMM this week.

  4. @Schenni: Oh, it's sad to hear that you didn't like the book by Marie Force because I really enjoyed it. Need to really start reading Nalini Singh.

@Michelle: Thanks! Hope you will have a great week.

  5. @Sabrina: I enjoyed the scenes between Michael and Juliana, but I wanted to cry every time Jeremy appeared. Well that's probably because I'm really bad with love-triangle stories.
I would definitely recommend Nalini Singh to you (and everyone else out there who enjoys romance). Her Guild Hunter series is a bit darker, but captivating, while I would call her Psy/Changeling series "affectionate" and more turbulent. Well, she's my favourite author for a good reason! :D

  6. Great haul this week! Love the layout for your blog as well! I'm a new follower :)

    My IMM

  16. OoOOoO this is the first time I see your face!!!! This is so awesome and I LOVE your haircut! ;))) I'm sooo happy you enjoyed Awake At Dawn - you know how much I love the series so it always makes me super happy when someone else loves it too!
