Books of the week #6

This week I went a bit crazy and ordered way too many books. Ok, three of them were preorders but still. My poor little TBR pile.

Molly's Millions - Jennifer Connelly
Can you survive the zombie apocalypse? - Max Brallier
Hunting Lila - Sarah Alderson
New York to Dallas - J.D. Robb
Angel Fire - L.A. Weatherly
Glow - Amy Kathleen Ryan
The demon King - Cinda Williams Chima
Coronets and steel - Sherwood Smith
Raising Demons - Rachel Hawkins
Prey - Linda Howard
Blood Red Road - Moira Young

My favorite book of the week is (of course)
New York to Dallas - J.D. Robb

Right now I'm reading
Clockwork Angel - Cassandra Clare
The third chimpanzee - Jared Diamond

And next week I want to read the following two books because they have been in my TBR pile for about two years!
No rest for the wicked - Kresley Cole
Slave to sensation - Nalini Singh

What happened in your book week? Which books are your favorites from the last seven days?

  1. Nice haul wow! I'm really looking forward to Hunting Lila. Happy reading!

Don't forget to enter my giveaways for some ARCs.

  2. Lots of books this week! Poor TBR pile indeed. I think it's an illness, no matter how many books we have we always buy more.

  3. Oo you are going to have such a great week with those books! Looking forward to your reviews of them.

  4. I look forward to seeing what you think of Demon King and Coronets and Steel! Both of those books are in my wishlist.

  5. This week I only read one new book, but it was really REALLY great! Elizabeth Chandler's "Love At First Click" is one of the sweetest and most charming books I've ever read and (right after "Anna and the French Kiss") my second favorite YA book. Unfortunately it was way too short, but I guess that's what I say about all the books I love ^.^
Apart from that I reread (and greatly enjoyed) book 2, 3 and 4 of Nora Robert's "Chesapeake Bay Quartet". The interaction between those Quinn brothers makes me smile every time I read it.

And I really hope you will enjoy "Slave to Sensation" because it's the beginning of a really great series (which is getting better and better with every book - and I'm not just saying that - it's really true). Its complexity and pull to the reader needs time to develop, which doesn't mean that "Slave to Sensation" isn't an awesome read in itself. Have fun reading it :]

  6. Great that you picked up some books that have been on your TBR so long! I'm trying to do that too. But the newer books always look so much more shiny! :-)

  7. I want Hunting Lila so badly! I've heard great things about it. Nice IMM this week! Hope you enjoy them all!

  8. The Zombie one looks like a lot of fun!

  9. Molly's Millions looks adorable! I hope you love your new books!

  10. @ Chachic: Hope I will get to read both books soon, but it may take some time because there are many books I plan to read before them.

@ Schenni: I love the contemporary YA books by Elizabeth Chandler, especially "Summer in the city", "I do" and "Love at first click".

  11. Very nice collection! I saw New York to Dallas at my neighborhood B & N, but I'm trying to be good! Fat chance....

  12. My TBR pile is huge, gives me security, I will never run out of books to read, lol

    Have a great week!!

  13. Love vlogs and love that you ordered too many books! LOL You sound like me! Have a great week.

  14. Wow, you packed a lot into your blog - nice job!
I hope you love all your new books.

  15. Having an insurmountable TBR pile is like a security blanket. I went a little nuts this past weekend and ordered about 7 books for my Nook! *sheepish grin

I saw Can You Survive the Zombie Apocalypse? at B&N the other day. I had to laugh because on a long road trip home about a month ago, my husband and I and a very good friend made plans for surviving an apocalypse!
