Hello, my name is Sabrina. I'm from Germany and a total bookaholic.
I love buying books, reading them, putting them in my shelves and rereading my favourites. I have loved reading ever since I was a child. My whole family loves to read so it's only natural that I adore books.
About my books
When I get a new book I read the end first because otherwise I would get too nervous and anxious. I like knowing what will happen in a story and I enjoy spoilers. I love buying books and supporting my favourite authors. And I treat my books like babies and work on building my own library.
I enjoy reading romances (contemporary, historical, paranormal, erotic, steampunk), Urban Fantasy, Romantic Suspense and Chick Lit. I read books from the adult & YA section. I prefer reading happy books that have a beautiful Happily Ever After, and that make me laugh and smile a lot. I don't like books that are too dark and that deal with a lot of violence, torture and things like rape.
I buy pretty much all of the books I read. Buying new books is the best way to promote an author and that's what I want to do. I love talking with other passionate readers about great books, so I'm happy about every readers who reads ABH and who enjoys talking about great books.

In August 2008 I started with "About Happy Books" to share my favourite books with others. My goal was and still is to blog with a positive attitude and to share my excitement for books with other readers.

Here on my blog I concentrate on the books I enjoyed reading, so there are only positive reviews on ABH.

Book blogging is a hobby and from the start on I knew that writing negative reviews wouldn't bring me any fun, so I don't do it.Plus I love to promote the good books that crossed my way. That's why from the start on I decided to only review the books I enjoyed reading.
I'm very picky about which books to review, just reviewing all books I read would make my life easier, because then I would have a review for nearly every day of the year. So reviewing only the books I enjoyed doesn't make book blogging easier. And yes, you can only write positive reviews and be honest!
I still believe in only reviewing the books I liked and this will not change in the future. ABH was, is and will be my little place to gush about the good books of my life. About book impressions
Beginning on December 27, 2011 Book Impressions is my new way to present/review a book. Instead of writing a review I share my impressions of the book via pictures I have taken.
The pictures for my Book Impressions are shoot with a Nikon Coolpix P500 and they are edited with iPhoto and GIMP.
