Women in Science - Rachel Ignotovsky

non-fiction
50 short portraits about female pioneers who changed the world
a special book
beautifully illustrated
full of interesting stories
of strength and courage
a bit too concentrated on women from the USA (especially) and Europe
I enjoyed learning more about some of the women
who changed our lifes
who worked hard to attend university
to excel in science
at times I wanted to learn more about them and their lifes
and less about the universities they attended
less about the prizes they won
and instead more about what their work changed
still a fascinating book
great for adults
but also children and teens
who struggle with believing
that women and science can be a perfect fit.
