Contemporary romances + romantic suspense + rereads

In the past days I concentrated on reading some ebooks on my Mac, most of the new books weren't perfect for me, but at least I gave them a chance.

Off the record - Sawyer Bennett
I read the first 50 pages of the story and then started to skip some pages here and there. This contemporary new adult romance just couldn't hold my interest. I read other books by the author in the past and liked, not loved, them. So even though this book wasn't for me, I might read more by the author in the future.

The Pact - Karina Halle
Another contemporary romance that sounded great, but didn't interest me once I started with reading it. I wasn't that interested in both main characters and their romance, an ok book.

The Professor - Charlotte Stein
This is the first book by Stein I read and unfortunately I struggled a bit with her writing style, something about it made it hard to get into a good reading flow. I might give one more book by her a try, we will see.

Steal me & Cuff me - Lauren Layne
These two books in a romantic suspense trilogy were ok to good, some parts of the story were great, others couldn't convince me. Especially the romances and male main characters were not as good as I wanted them to be. Still I overall enjoyed reading the books. If you are a fan of romantic suspense, then this might be worth a try.

rereads (not counted for read books in 2016, I never count rereads):
Us - Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Oh, how I love this book. I liked the first book in the series, but it's the second book that made me a fan of it. Can't wait to read the third book in the series, I need more of Blake.

The Sweet series - Tillie Cole
Books 1-3 were once again great for me, Sweet Soul I actually liked way more then when I read it the first time, no I could finally appreciate Levi and Elsie for who they are. But I had issues with Sweet Hope. When I first read the book the hero and how his past choices were explained worked for me, but now they no longer do. He could have found other ways to help his family, but his pride was more important than keeping his brothers safe, that's not ok for me. And yes, it's fascinating how an opinion on a book can change over time.

The Ivy Years series 1-3 - Sarina Bowen
These three books belong to my all time favourite romances. Every time I reread them I once again fall in love with the characters and their stories. Books #4 and #5 in the series were ok to good, but I had some issues with the story lines and characters, but the first three books in the series will forever belong to my favs.
