This time I really needed the hardcover

A few months ago I bought the paperback version of Carry On by Rainbow Rowell and at first I was very happy with the edition. But then a few weeks ago I saw how amazing the hardcover version by Pan Macmillan looks, inside and outside. Compared to the paperback version there is a map in the book, plus underneath the dust jacket the real magic is going on. The motive from the cover is continued and moved to the next level, I love it. And yes, what is underneath the dust jacket was in this case enough for me to get a second copy of the book.

I'm not sure if I will keep the paperback or give it to someone else, we will see. For now I'm just happy to have this fantastic version of "Carry on" in my life.

  1. I also got the hardcover of this one. I love it when good books are pretty.

    1. So true! It's always a bit disappointing when a book you like looks meh.

      Happy Reading!

  2. I haven't read Carry On, or any of Rainbow Rowell yet but I did just buy a hardcover of #1 in my favourite series: The Chronicles of the Invaders because sometimes you just need to buy the hardcover!

    1. Exactly, and if the design underneath the dust jacket is something special then it's even better.

      Happy Reading!
