Years ago, shortly after it was published, I read the first book in the Grisha- trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, in the picture you can see my German copy of "Shadow and Bone". Then I enjoyed the story and planned to go on with the trilogy, but it never happened. I enjoyed the story while I read it, but have to say that it was also pretty easy to forget once I moved on to other books.
Now I wonder if reading #2 and #3 in the series makes sense to me, I heard some things about a love triangle situation and I usually don't like them.
So I would love to hear your thoughts, spoilers please, on the series. Compared to book #1, how much did you enjoy #2 and #3? Is the love triangle a major one? Did you enjoy the series overall?
And then there is "Six of Crows", set in the same world but with different characters, the book sounds fascinating, but is supposed to be darker than the Grisha books. I wonder how much darker the story is, are there scenes with graphic violence, how dark is the overall tone of the series?
I'm excited to hear your thoughts on the books!
