Read & good books

It's time to share my thoughts on the books I read in the last weeks. You can see some of them on the picture above, but of course I read more and I will mention most of them, especially the print books I read and the ebooks that worked for me. You can check out all of the books I recently read on my shelf on BookLikes.

The list of books is going to be a crazy mix of sweet YA romances, fantasy, sports romances and erotic romances, just the way I like it.

The Cage - Meghan Shepherd
Fascinating plot, made me think about how we deal with animals in zoos and animals in general. The middle part of the story was not my favourite, however in the end I enjoyed this book a lot and I'm excited for the next one in the series.

The Sin Eater's Daughter - Melinda Salisbury
Overall an interesting YA story, but unfortunately it was a bit hard for me to connect with the characters, plus the ending confused me.

Servants of the Storm - Dawson
This YA book was a bit too creepy for my taste, plus the ending didn't work for me at all. When a main character goes through hell in a book, I demand a happy ending.

The Museum of Intangible Things - Wendy Wunder
Another YA book that wasn't perfect for me, dramatic things happened in this story and yet I didn't feel a lot.

Delayed Penalty - Sophia Henry
This sports romances is one I enjoyed, it wasn't perfect, especially the last part of the story, but still I had a good time when reading the story and enjoyed the romance. I plan to read more by the author in the future.

Pucked - Helena Hunting
This sports romance is a bit over the top, the cussing, the overall craziness, and still I had a great time when reading the story, I often had to smile and that's why I plan to go on with the series.

Looking for you - Paige & Smith
This is a wonderfully sweet and cozy contemporary sports romance, I will definitely read more books by the authors and in this series in the future.

Dark Wild Night - Christina Lauren
I was a bit disappointed by this contemporary romance, I liked it, but at times didn't feel as much as I wanted to. I never really warmed up to the female main character and this made it heart to enjoy the book.

Sea of Tranquility - Katja Millay
What a wonderful, emotional YA book full of interesting characters, the story was nearly perfect for me and I would love to read more by the author, hope that there will be more books in the future.

Four seconds to lose - K.A. Tucker
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I wanted to, the dramatic events and the crime related things in the story didn't work for me, plus I didn't feel that much when reading the romance parts.

The Mime Order - Samantha Shannon
Overall a good book, but some things bothered me. There was for my taste too much going on, not every new development felt like a natural one and I'm not a fan of the ending. Plus the time between books in this series is getting to long for me and I'm not sure if there is enough in the world Shannon created for five more books in the series. I plan to go on with the series, but I'm no longer sure that the next book will work for me perfectly.

Shopaholic to the Stars - Sophie Kinsella
Too ridiculous, too annoying and too desperate, there's no other way to describe Becky, it hurt too realize that I can no longer enjoy books with her. I think this series should have ended two books ago or even before that. I'm going to take a break from books by Kinsella in the next years, her last novels no longer worked for me and it's time to stop buying them.

Blackbird - Anna Carey
This short YA mystery was thrilling and like a breath of fresh air, I enjoyed reading it and plan to go on with the series. Not everything in the story was perfect for me, for example the "romance", but still the story entertained me and I need to find out what will happen next.

Love at first book - Sarah Tregay
Great writing style, I love how Tregay uses free verse so superbly, but the story was way too short and over before it really started. I wasn't satisfied with my reading experience once I finished the book.

Drawn Together - Lauren Dane
I recently read some romances by Lauren Dane, some didn't work for me at all (two books from the Hurley Boys series), but Drawn Together was great. I loved finally reading Raven's story, it was just as emotional, sexy and great as I wanted it to be.
I realized that Dane's erotic romance work for me way better than her contemporary romances, so I will stick to her hotter books in the future.

Crave - Jennifer Dawson
This is another erotic romance (domination/submissive theme) that I really enjoyed. The background of the story is very emotional and I felt so much when reading the book. I loved the romance and how especially one character came alive in the story. There will be at least one more book in the series, concentrating on different main characters, and I will definitely get it.

Happy Reading!
