New books: high expectations and serious doubts

In the last two weeks I managed to buy some new books, three of them I expect to be fantastic, two I'm not that sure about.

The books
The last honeytrap - Louise Lee
The Nightmare Charade - Mindee Arnett
The Glass Sentence - S.E. Grove
Split Second - Kasie West
After - Anna Todd

The first and the last books I'm not that sure about, the writing style in the first and too much drama in the last book might make it hard for me to love both stories.
The books in the middle are either part of series I enjoyed in the past or just sound fantastic. I'm especially excited for the book by Mindee Arnett, because it's the last in a paranormal YA trilogy which was so far fantastic. The Glass sentence is btw one of the prettiest books I own, it even has my beloved rough-cut pages.

Happy Reading!

  1. I haven't read any of these books so I can't give you any other thoughts, but I do hope you enjoy them all to the extent! As I've not heard much about these books then do (if you can) give us your thoughts on them after you've read them. Always on the lookout for underrated/underhyped novels! :)

    1. I will definitely write at least short reviews on all of the books once I read them, however I can already tell you that "After" and "The last honeytrap" didn't work for me at all. I hope that the other three books will be better for me.

      Happy Reading!

  2. Hope you enjoy them all and the two you aren't real sure about don't disappoint too much. I checked out The Glass Sentence from my library once but never got it read before it was do. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

    1. I already read the two books I wasn't sure about and unfortunately they really didn't work for me. But that's ok, life goes on. :)

      Happy Reading!
