Reading

My new reading pile is once again bigger than I planned it to be, as usual I just couldn't stop with adding more and more books to it.

This time there are some books on the reading pile that I'm a little unsure about, they sound great and I heard amazing things about them, but will they work for me? Let's find it out.

The books

I'm also listening to a new audio book right now, I'm at 70 minutes and so far I like the story a lot, the book is
The Queen of Tearling - Erika Johansen

And I plan to read 3-5 ebooks in the next weeks, then my ebook TBR pile will once again have the size I like.

Happy Reading!

  1. The book Thief is a book I really want to read. I'd love to read a review of it, if you write one, even though you are going to read the German version.

    1. There will definitely be a review, I just read the first few pages of the book and so far I'm not sure if the writing style will work for me. It would be interesting to compare the German translation to the original version.

  2. I've been reading so much from my kindle recently that I'd forgotten how good a stack of books look in the flesh. Love loads of these covers!

  4. I just can't stick with a stack of books picked out to read. I read one, perhaps two, and then I just pick different books from my shelves. I don't know why they just don't appeal to me anymore. Or like the books that go with me on holiday, the ones that don't get read (most of them) are not read for months! How do you manage to stick with a stack of books?

    1. It's surprisingly easy for me, at least right now. I'm always open to add more books to the reading pile, it's not set in stone and I guess that's why it works for me. For example with my last reading pile I reread some books in between I didn't plan to read and also read some ebooks that weren't on my reading pile. I don't get upset about something like that any longer and just go on with the books.

    1. I read the book yesterday and unfortunately it didn't work for me. Alexander MCall Smith's writing style was not for me, it seemed too formal and the story didn't read like a modern version of the story.

  6. Oh I love the White Trash Zombie series... it was just so funny!!! But the best book remains the first one. The series becomes a bit convoluted in the end.

    1. So far my favourite book in the series is also the first one, isn't that often the case with series? At least for me it's often like that.
