Looking for new contemporary sports romances

I have always loved a good contemporary sports romance and this hasn't changed in the last years. The books in this subgenre of contemporary romance are often very entertaining, sexy and sweet at the same time, they are books that make me smile and that give me a good time. In the past I enjoyed the following contemporary sports romances

and now I'm hungry for more. Most of the series I read in the past are no longer continued or don't work for me any longer, so of course I'm looking for new sports romances to read and fall in love with. I decided to look online for new series, to look what was already on my wishlist and discovered some series and stand-alone novels that sound interesting, they are

Now I have some new series to check out, a lot of synopses and reviews to read and I'm sure that some of the books will end up on my smartphone and/or bookshelf. I hope that some of these new to me contemporary sports romances will soon belong to my list of favourites.

Btw, my favourite team sports is handball, it's well known here in Germany, I played it myself as a child and youth and I will always love this energetic, fast and hard game.

Do you like contemporary sports romances? Which ones can you recommend?

  1. I can't say I like them or dislike them.... I think I've only read a couple of the Play by Play series and liked them but not so much to keep reading these genre. Maybe I should try another series :)

    1. You really should. I think sports always adds something light and exciting to the romances, maybe that's why I like them so much.

      Happy Reading!

  2. A lot of the sports romances that I'm enjoying right now are New Adult ones. I LOVED The Deal by Elle Kennedy and if you liked that one, you should give The Hook Up by Elle Kennedy a try. That was another great read!

  3. Oh, just thought of another contemporary sports NA. The Rusk University series by Cora Carmack. There are two books out right now (All Lined Up and All Broke Down) and both books are fantastic!

    1. Those two books are already on my wishlist, but of course I forget to add them to the list above, shame on me. ;) NA is definitely a genre that offers a lot of romances with a sports theme right now, it's nice that there is something for every taste.

      Happy Reading!

  4. The very few I have read are on your list already (Erin McCarthy, Sierra Dean) so I have no ideas for you. Why did you fall out of love with Erin McCarthy's Fast Track series? I still love them very much.

    1. I honestly started to hate the series with book four, "The Chase", I had issues with the stories from the beginning, didn't like the characters and the twist at the ended was horrible, then I read the next book and once again didn't like it at all, I realized that it was time to say goodbye to the series.
In general I no longer like McCarthy's way to create stories and characters, it's sad, but I can't change the way I feel about it.

      Happy Reading!

  5. I have read this series completely out of order, and I think I still have to read books 4 and 5. I do hope I will like them though, as I love Erin's writing style and the previous books.

    1. Then I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the two books will work for you, I know that I wasn't the only reader who had major issues with them, but of course for others the stories worked.

      Happy Reading!
