pell-mell

pell-mell: adv. In a jumbled, confused manner; helter-skelter.

I discovered the word pell-mell recently when rereading a book by Betty Neels, I had never heard of the word before and immediately looked it up. I always love discovering old-fashioned words in older books, for example I'm also always very happy to discover the word gay in its native meaning.

  1. I love Betty Neels...her books are so sweet and light and fun. But I agree its always fun to read older books and learn meanings of different words.

    1. Her books are perfect in times when I just want to relax and have a good time, I bought all of her books over the last years and I'm very happy to own them all.

      Happy Reading!
