Preorders for February 2013

I'm a fan of preordering books I'm especially excited for. At the beginning of every month I'm convinced that I only preordered a few books, but when I look at my preorders closely I always realize that there are a lot more. And it's the same procedure every month. :) So I thought it would be a good idea to write a post about my preorders for every month, that way I can share with you my excitement for upcoming books and I can remind myself that I maybe should slow down with buying so many books spontaneously.

Now let's take a look at my preorders that will be published in February.

Calculated in Death - J.D. Robb

romantic suspense, adult, #36 in the In Death series
I love the In Death series and I love J.D. Robb / Nora Roberts, so preordering this book was a must for me.
buy

Hot Ticket - Olivia Cunning

erotic romance, adult, #4 in The Sinners series
This is another series I have enjoyed a lot so far. The books are very sexy with Rockstars to swoon for. I hope that book #4 will be as good as the other books have been.
buy

Hip Check - Deirdre Martin

contemporary sports romance, adult, #10 in the New York Blades series
The books by Deirdre Martin have brought me a lot of fun and entertainment in the last years, so this book is another must for me.
buy

The Queen is dead - Kate Locke

paranormal, steampunk, romance, adult, #1 in the Immortal Empire series
I enjoyed "God save the Queen", the first book in the series a whole lot, read my review here. And I'm super excited to read on.
buy

Etiquette & Espionage - Gail Carriger

steampunk, young adult, The finishing School #1
Gail Carriger's adult Parasol Protectorate series is one I heart, so of course I'm super excited for her first YA book.
buy

The Madman's Daughter - Megan Shepherd

historical, young adult, The Madman's Daughter #1
fantasy, young adult, stand-alone
I haven't read anything by the author so far, but this book promises to be very fascinating and a bit crazy, I like that mix. :)
buy

Sister Assassin - Kiersten White

paranormal, young adult, #1 in the Mind Games series
I loved "Paranormalcy" by the author and I'm excited to give her new, darker YA series a try.
buy

Hysteria - Megan Miranda

thriller, young adult, stand-alone
Fracture, the first book I read by the author, was quite unusual and very good. Now I'm interested in finding out what the author has created with her new book.
buy

Harbinger - Sara Wilson Etienne

fantasy, young adult, stand-alone, paperback version
I had my eyes on this book since the hardcover version was released, and now the paperback version will finally be published. And even though I heard some mixed things about the book, I'm still excited to get and read it.
buy

Scarlet - Marissa Meyer

fantasy, young adult, #2 in the Lunar Chronicles
"Cinder", the first book in this series, was very enjoyable and quiet unique. I hope the same will be true for this new book.
buy

Skylark - Meagan Spooner

fantasy, dystopian, young adult, #1 in the series Skylark series, paperback version
This is another book I had my eyes on since the book was published as a hardcover, but I decided to wait for the paperback version. And here it is. :)

  1. I have recently gotten into pre-ordering. I reviewed The Madman's Daughter. It was creepy and quite good. The Queen is Dead has gotten my attention. Thanks for telling me about it through your video. I will have to look into book number 1.

    1. Be careful with your preordering, it can be quite dangerous. ;)
And yay that you enjoyed "The Madman's Daughter", I'm very excited for it.

  2. Sounds all very interessting! :) The Covers also beatuiful. Can understand why do you excited about these books. I preorder books too :) there is the new book by Lara Adrian and her "Midnight-Breed"-Series, I'm waiting since August. It's the 11 book in the Series, I think the english name is "Edge of Dawn" (dt. "Vertraute der Sehnsucht" what for a foolish name...) and in this Book is about a new story, a new era and a new generation and I'm very excited about this! :) than I preorder a book by Nalini Singh, from her Psy-Changeling-Series, it's titled "Tangle of Need", book 11 in the Series ... and I think I preorder the book automatically, because I love the series, but not every book is perfectly. Some books I enjoy and some other books a read and forget about it. It's defficult with a series with so many books, but I hope this one will work for me :)
moreover I preorder "City of Lost Souls" by Cassandra Clair, although the last book in the series not work for me. I hope this will be better. Last-but-not-least I preorder "Adam" by Jacquelyn Frank (love her writing-style) and "Dublin Street" by Samantha Young, whitch I was very curiosity for :)
That was all. You see, I'm love buying book as you do ;)

    1. Hope you will enjoy all of your preordered books.
I think it's the same with all longer series, some books are good, others not so much.
      Happy Reading!

  3. What an amazing list. Thank you for sharing these! Love your video by the way :}. I especially am going to check out Sister Assassin. That's right up my ally. Another great read you might want to check out for March is Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog by S. L. Whyte. Not only is this the book for the curriculum for The Stelladaur Academy. (Online educational enrichment, character development, and scholarship program), but it is also a YA fantasy with real life application. You can learn more about it at the author's website here: http://www.stelladaur.com/
