It's Monday aka pride day. And it's time to introduce ourselves. So to all In Death junkies
- Who are you?
- How did you discover the series? Since when are you reading the series?
- What do you love about the series (in general)?
- What makes you an In Death junkie?
- Which other books/authors do you enjoy besides the In Death books?
This day is all about introducing ourselves and sharing our love for the In Death world. So let's do it. Let's talk about how we became fans of this fantastic series by J.D. Robb.
Please share, like etc. this post and all the posts in the In Death week so that many In Death junkies will hear about it. The more In Death junkies the merrier!
Btw, I'm right now hosting a giveaway, check it out here.

Hi, my name is Sabrina and I'm an In Death junkie. I discovered the books when I was 18 and since then I have been a big fan of the series. I first discovered the German version of "Naked in Death", after reading and loving it I immediately looked for more books in the series. That's when I realized that I didn't want to wait for the German translations and that's when I decided to get the rest of the books on English.
ReplyDeleteSo far I have enjoyed all books in the series. I love the futuristic setting, the thrilling investigations, but what I love most are the characters and their relationships, they are to die for. I have a huge crush on both Eve and Roarke. :)
And I love that even after 30+ books the series still feels fresh and never gets boring.
I'm an In death junkie because I need my Eve & Roarke fix twice a year, and because I sometimes forget that not all things that are available in the In Death world are invented yet. :)
Hey there, I'm Jenni and I guess I'm an "In Death" Junkie as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI did a little research and found out that I ordered the first book in the series on June 16, 2009. Wow, that's more than three years of reading and loving the series! By then I've been reading mostly English books and the "In Death" series became one of my absolute favorites right away!
Now, what do I love about the series? That's such a hard question because I love almost everything about it, but I think the best thing about it are the characters. I've fallen in love with so many of J.D. Robb's characters, for example Baxter, Trueheart, Morris, Peabody,... (I could go on endlessly ^.^). Then there are Roarke and Eve. Sigh. Best coulple, ever! More than 30 books and I still feel excited every time they have a scene together, or one of them is thinking of the other. That's incredible!
I'm not sure what exactly makes me an "In Death" junkie, but the facts that I order every book the moment it comes out and that I reread most of the books while waiting for the release of the next one might be a good start. ;] I'm simply addicted to it. I could talk about Eve and Roarke day and night. What's more I've never liked mystery stories, but J.D. Robb somehow manages to make them more than just fascinating to me!
Apart from the "In Death" series I guess I read everything involving a (happy) love story. Some of my favorite authors are Nora Roberts ;], Nalini Singh, Linda Howards, Lisa Kleypas, Julie James, Lara Adrian, Jill Shalvis, and many more.
That's me! (As usual this comment got away from me and became much longer than planned! >.<)
You really are an In Death junkie, it's good to know that I'm not alone with my obsession. :)
DeleteMy name is Gina and I'm an "In Death" junkie, as well.
ReplyDeleteI grabbed Purity In Death quite by accident while I was pregnant with my youngest in 2003. I've been reading & re-reading ever since.
What do I love? It's still fun. No matter how bad things get for them they're still friends and their personalities intrigue me.
I love fun & light romances generally. The only other thrillers or mysteries that I love are the FBI series by Catherine Coulter.
Dito on the fun & light romances, I also love them. And I think I should check out the books by Catherine Coulter.
DeleteMy name is Aurian, and I am an In Death junkie as well. I really cannot remember when I first discovered the series, but I did love it from the very first book.
ReplyDeleteI love the relationship between Eve and Roarke, and how they evolve and how through their eyes we see the lives of the secondary characters grow and change and fall in love as well.
I don't care if the killer is known, or for Eve to find out, or only to find enough evidence for a conviction. I love how she stands for the victims. Both their personal lives have been very hard, and gruesome, but they made it through.
When a new book arrives, I drop everything I am reading to devour it, and I really cannot stop reading when it is time for bed. It is a great series.
What more do I love, well, that is just too much to tell here. Check out my blog and you will get a good idea of my favourites, as most of the books I read and review are written by my favourite authors. But I do recommend the FBI series by Catherine Coulter as well Sabrina. They do have a tiny bit of paranormal (psychic) in them, but you will love Sherlock and Savich.
I agree on everything you said. I love how Eve stands for the victims, she is a true hero.
