A just ok week
This week was a just ok one. I read a lot of just ok books, dif not finish two books I started because I had trouble with the writing style or the plot and I didn't read a great book this week. The positive thing is that next week can only be better. :)
New videos
Yesterday I uploaded two new "Good books I read" videos for March and April to my Youtube channel. Only two more videos and I'm finally in the now. :)
In the last weeks filming little bookish videos brought me a lot of fun and I'm excited for what the future will bring on my channel.
Yesterday evening I looked through all the blogs I follow on Bloglovin', it's a long list, so of course it took me forever. It was sad to see that some great bloggers have stopped updating their blogs, but of course I understand it. Sometimes life changes and there is no more room for blogging.
Btw, I was on Bloglovin' to unfollow a blog, a blog whose bloggers seem to prefer creating drama on twitter instead of starting a direct and open discussion through leaving comments on a post they had some issues with. I don't want to support drama creators, so I had to unfollow the blog.
Happy Birthday
I'm excited for next week because on July 15th I'm celebrating my birthday. I think I will buy myself some pretty new books for my birthday, because there's nothing better than making yourself great presents. Maybe I will do a little giveaway to celebrate my birthday with you, we will see what next week brings.
How was your bookish week?

I usually go through the list of all the blogs I follow twice a year and last time I did this I also unfollowed many that simply stopped posting from one day to the next. I don't really unfollow easily (I think) but another reason is when there hasn't been a single interesting post on a blog in the past month than it's Goodbuy too. It's a shame when there aren't any quality posts of once great blogs there anymore.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what happened with most blogs I unfollowed, they simply stopped blogging without any info on why or if they will be back.
DeleteLately I have been going through my blog list more often, because I try to make it a bit smaller. All in all I follow over 150 blogs and that's a bit too much for me. It doesn't leave me enough time to comment.
Have a great new week!
Books make the best presents :-) ...
ReplyDeleteI had a great week myself ... I enjoyed The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory.
They truly are, even when I know what to expect I'm always so excited. :)
DeleteI haven't read a book by Gregory, but I plan to change that sometimes in the future.
Have a great new week.
I hope your reading week will be filled with great books, and of course buying books for your birthday is a splendid idea! Hmm mine is two weeks later, shall I do the same? There are still so many pre-ordered till the rest of the year and beyond!
ReplyDeleteYeah, do the same! Preorders don't count when it's your birthday. :)
DeleteI am not much for the drama either. I turn to a book for that.
ReplyDeleteYour mention of Bloglovin' reminds me that I should be utilizing that site. I joined a long time ago, but have not done a lot with it. I will hop over there and update things and try using it on a regular basis.
A birthday coming up! Yay! I am not surprised to hear that you are buying books for your birthday. I look forward to the same thing on my birthday. I can't wait to see what you pick out.
Well said. I also prefer drama in book over drama in real life.
DeleteI love using Bloglovin' to follow blogs, I added all blogs I read to it and it makes things easier for me.
So far I'm not sure which books to pick, maybe I will wait for it until Sunday or next Momday. But I'm also excited for it.
Happy Reading!
