How was your bookish week?

Happy Sunday to all my fellow bookaholics. I hope you all had a great bookish week. I definitely did. Even though I took a little break from reading this week, I still did a lot of fantastic bookish things.

I also loved this week that my sis is back home from university for a few days. I immediately gave her my copy of Insurgent to read, even though I haven't read it myself. I love talking about books and bookish things with my sis, she is of course also a bookaholic. :)
I'm right now trying to get her to write some new guest posts for ABH. She did some for my German blog and I always loved them. I will continue to annoy her until she says yes. :)

Another highlight was definitely my book haul. I love buying and receiving new books and this week I couldn't say no to a lot of books. :)

The only negative thing that happened in my little bookish world was reading a tweet by an author I followed but don't follow any longer. The author was mad that her book had been compared to another book. She seems to really dislike the other book. It also seems as if she thinks that only weird people or idiots can enjoy the book hers was compared to. Guess what, I'm a fan of both books, hers and the other one, and I don't like it when authors I read imply that I'm an idiot. So please dear authors. just because you didn't like a book you don't need to mock it on twitter, fb, etc. . You should always keep in mind that you could insult your own readers with tweets like that.

But let's go back to something more positive, this morning I started my little, or not so little, book rearranging project. I even managed to sort some books out and hope to get finished later today. Wish me luck!

  1. I think my bookish week was okay. I just read two books but I loved them both. :) The next two weeks will be a bit low I think because it's a stressful time at work...

    Happy Reading!

  2. Oh no! I can't believe that some author really did that. I understand that if you really dislike a book and yours is compared with that, that you don't like that. But doing that in public? No. Really.

    1. Exactly. Sometimes it's better to say things in private and not in public.

      Have a great week!
