Updates from B-lit

Welcome to a new feature here on ABH. Some of you might now that besides this blog I'm also running a German book blog that is mainly about German covers, cover comparisons, book titles and things like that. I thought it would be a nice idea to inform you once a week on what happened in the last seven days on "Bücher - lost in translation" (books - lost in translation").

Btw, I linked up the original posts in the weekdays. I have the google translator on my German blog, but I guess we all know how "good" this works. :)

Sunday - I'm comparing the two different cover types for the German translation of the first book in the Wicked lovely - series by Melissa Marr.
I'm a fan of using the original cover because I think it looks very pretty and appealing, but I'm not a big fan of the new German cover (the left one). I think it looks weird.

Monday - I'm presenting some of my cover favourites, I do this once a week.

Wednesday - I'm wondering if the German covers for Kathy Reichs's YA series are really designed for young adults, because the covers look pretty grown up to me!

The German covers for Virals and Seizure - can anyone see a YA aspect in these covers? I can't!!!

And in comparison the US covers, at least here you can see that these books belong to the YA section. And the covers actually fit very nicely to the stories.

Thursday - when two different covers look like a mirroring. I'm always a bit amused when two books, that are published nearly at the same time, have the same image on their covers.
