Books of the week - so pretty

Spring has arrived here in Germany and I love the warm weather and that the sun is shining. Plus I received some beautiful books in the mail this week, so my mood is just fantastic.
This week is proves that a beautiful cover can make me buy books that I already own without one second of feeling guilty about it. The power of pretty, special and fantastic covers should never be underestimated.

Buying books is fun - all books were bought
Timeless - Gail Carriger
Let's play dead - Sheila Connolly (oh, I just realized that this is book #2 in the series)
Time out - Jill Shalvis
Murder with Puffins - Donna Andrews
Destiny - Carly Phillips
Henrietta's own castle - Betty Neels
Victory for Victoria - Betty Neels
Stars through the mist - Betty Neels
The summer of living dangerously - Julie Cohen
Anthropology of an American girl - Hilary Thayer Hamann
Flat-out love - Jessica Park
Fever - Joan Swan
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte; the beautiful Sterling edition

I'm reading ... right now
The fine art of truth or dare - Melissa Jensen
Pants on fire - Maggie Alderson

next week

Pure - Julianna Baggott
Touched - Corrine Jackson

  1. Definitly great and beautiful new books! I so love the new classic covers and I really thinking about getting the Jane Austen ones...not that I not own already more than one copy of the Jane Austen books...:P

I didn't get so many books this week...but still some very pretty ones.

Oh, have you ever read something by R.C. Ryan? Read the first book in her new trilogy "Quinn" and it was in a very Nora Roberts style which I totally love. Cowboys, strong characters, a great story...:) Made me read a Nora Roberts' book now. *giggle*

    1. I have a book by R.C. Ryan on my wish list but haven't read anything by her so far. I saw your review and that you enjoyed the book a lot, so I need to buy my own copy soon.

Next week I will get the German book you made me buy this morning, the plot sounds so special and good! Plus I think the cover is cool. I'm a bit confused why the cover of the new book looks so different, but as long as the books are great I can be ok with it. :)

Hope you love the book by NR, Happy Reading!

    2. I really can recommend it because the romance is just great. :)

Yeah that's what I also didn't get...first I thought the second book has nothing to do with the first till I started reading and one of the main characters from the first book was back here too...So yeah...well...I would have liked it more if the second book cover would have been more fitting with the first one.

      I am sure I will :)
      Happy Reading!!

    3. The cover thing is definitely confusing, this might be a good idea for a new cover post on B-lit. I will get the book on Monday and plan to read it soon.

    4. I'm so looking forward for your opinion about it!!!!! :)

  2. I am looking forward to reading the last Gail Carriger myself! Lovely list of books.

    1. I'm also very excited to read "Timeless", I want to know what new crazy things will happen in that book.

  3. I really want to read Anthropology of an American Girl! I hope you post a review of it soon!

    1. It might take me some weeks to read it, I just hope that it will be as good as I expect it to be.

  4. I read Serendipity, so I should pick up Destiny! I am looking forward to what you think of it. You have a couple of cozies that I would like to read as well. Happy reading.
