Books of the week #27 - I'm in book heaven

This week was a great one. I received some preordered books I'm excited to read, I ordered and received some books from my wish list and Mr. Postman brought me a super special book. Even though I prefer to buy all the books I want to read, there are of course exceptions to this rule. And one of these exceptions is definitely the new stand alone novel by Nora Roberts.

If you read my blog regularly, you might now that I love pretty much everything Nora Roberts has written and that I'm a big fan of her novels. So when I received an ARC of  "The Witness" by Nora Roberts this week, I did a little happy dance. And of course I immediately started reading the book and I finished it on Friday. In my opinion it's an amazing romantic suspense novel and now I'm even more excited for the release of the book. Because then I can buy my own copy and talk about it with other readers who enjoyed it.

Btw, click on the titles for more info on the books (on goodreads), and you can use the buy - links at the bottom of this post to order books.

New books I got this week (all bought besides "The Witness")

The Witness - Nora Roberts; see pic below, thanks the Little, Brown Book Group for sending me an ARC

My favourite book of the week is (of course)

The Witness - Nora Roberts
I loved the main characters, especially the heroine, the love story and the general plot of this book - so pretty much everything. :) I will post a review/book impression post around the release date in April.

What are your favourite books of the week?

  1. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on "Always A Witch". It was, in my opinion, better than the first, and I LOVED the first! Also curious about your opinion of "Darkness Becomes Her"...I have it and the second book "A Beautiful Evil" waiting in my TBR pile for the the right mood, but if you really like it, I might just have to move it to the top of the pile, as I really enjoy your picks!

    1. Yeah, good to hear that you liked "Always a witch" even more than #1 in the series. Right now it's way back in my TBR pile but I think I need to move it to the top.
"Darkness becomes her" sounds like a special book, I heard some mixed things about her, but I'm hopeful that I enjoy it.

Happy Reading and have a great week!

    2. I finshed "Darkness becomes her" yesterday night, but it didn't work for me. The writing style and the world in which the story plays didn't work for me, but the book was definitely not bad. It just wasn't for me.

  4. Great books! I am still looking forward for the new Nora Roberts book! :)

Hm...don't have a great book of the week because there wasn't much time for reading. I'll finish "The Alexander Cipher" by Will Adams today, it's a re-read and then I'll finally start the second book of that series. :)

    have a great day!
