After I read that Google will no longer offer Google Friends Connect for Wordpress, I started thinking about ways I like to stay connected with other blogs. I guess it's only a matter of time until GFC will also disappear for Blogger blogs, so I want to be prepared. I only use GFC to look up blogs I don't read regularly, but I know that many readers use it at their #1 way to read new blog posts. It seems that Google wants you to make more use of Google+, but that's definitely not my favourite way to stay connected.
I like talking with other bloggers and readers on Goodreads, Facebook and Twitter, but these plattforms are not perfect for staying up-to-date with new blog posts (at least not for me).
The easiest way to make sure I don't miss any new posts from blogs I read is via mail subscription (see right column), via RSS feeds, via Networkedblogs (I finally added the widget to my blog) and via Bloglovin.
Bloglovin is maybe my favourite way because I love the Bloglovin site, it's so easy to use and looks nice. But Bloglovin is not that well known in the book blogger community, so I mostly use it for staying up-to-date with posts by my favourite fashion & beauty blogs. Btw, I also added the Bloglovin icon to make it easier to follow me there.
I want to know what your favourite ways to stay connected to a blog are. Which way do you stay up-to-date with new blog posts? Do you use GFC and would you miss it?
