Books of the week #8

I'm sick and have a stupid cold. That's why today I don't feel like linking all the books I mention in my vlog (thank goodness that I did the vlog yesterday). Btw, I already knew on Friday that I would get sick because that's what happens when you have to sit in a cold room where all of the windows are open for six hours.

I got some exciting new books last week, read a good number of books, loved one book especially and was disappointed by two books which I was super excited to read. Next week I should get two new books and I will try to go on with reducing the number of books in my TBR pile.

My favourite book of the week is Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves. The book is full of craziness, weirdness, disturbing and twisted scenes and still it is in my opinion fantastic. This book surprised me because I didn't expect it to be so awesome.

How was your book week?

  1. I got Name of the Star as well - different cover though. Been hearing great reviews so I can't wait to get into it.

  2. I love this cover of the Name of the Star. It's Amazing!!!!
    Happy Reading!

  3. Hey, hope you'll get better soon! At least now you have an excuse to lie in bed and read...
Looks like you finally got "Lola" and you are right, "Making a Splash" looks really cute! :] Have to try that, although my YA reading-high is kind of over, but still... I can always squeeze one of those in somewhere.

This week I loved "The Duff" by Keplinger, which is actually even better than "Shut Out" and that's saying some because I really liked that book.
Apart from that I reread and loved the books 1,2 and 3 of the Black-Dagger-Series by J.R. Ward (those are great, unfortunately the series is pretty much done for me after book 3 *sigh*). Starting with "Darkest Pleasure" by Gena Showalter now since I'm in a fantasy-phase right now and have to make it count because those are rare for me...
Have a restorative and nice week :]
