Books of the week #1

Instead of my "Favourite books of the week" post I want to do something new. From now on every Sunday I will look back at the books I read & enjoyed in the last week, the books I bought & received in the last seven days and the books I'm reading right now & plan to read next. I will call this new feature "Books of the week".

In the last seven days I bought 5 new books

  • A weekend with Mr Darcy by Victoria Conelly
  • Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
  • Eon by Alison Goodma
  • Dragon Keeper by Robin Hobb
  • The girl with the silver eyes by Willo Davis Roberts
  •
And I received an awesome package from Danny from the Bewitched Bookworms. She sent and borrowed me three exciting ARCs. Thanks so much Danny!

  • The unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
  • Awake at dawn by C.C. Hunter
  • Blood Rights by Kirsten Painter
  •

In the last week I read 8 books and three of them were especially great and enjoyable.
My favourites of the week are

  • Tangled Threads by Jennifer Estep
  • Circle of Fire by Michelle Zink
  • The girl with the silver eyes by Willo Davis Roberts
  •

Right now I'm reading

  • A discovery of witches by Deborah Harkness
  • Between the Sheets by Robin Wells
  • The hunt of the unicorn by C.C. Humphreys

And next I plan to read

  • Witch Song by Amber Argyle
  • Crazy Sweet by Tara Janzen
  •  Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep (eARC)

  3. That Conelly book sounds interesting and directly made it on my wishlist. I envy you the opportunity to already read "A discover of witches" - I'm gonna have to wait until it is released. Til then I'm curious what you think so I'm looking forward to your review.

  4. I'm so jealous of "Mara Dyer"... I have that pre-ordered and am counting down the days until it gets released next month!

Is "A Discovery of Witches" good? I have it, but haven't read it yet because I haven't really been reading many adult books recently.

  5. Ok, three Sarah's makes think a bit complicated :)

@ Sarah: Hi, will check out your pilw asap

@ Melanie S. : I'm have my free time right now plus I limit the time I spend in front of the tv or computer.

@ Sarah: Are you waiting for the German version of "Discovery of Witches"?
I hope that the book by Conelly will be as cute as it sounds. I would love to read a really cute book right now.

@ Sarah (Escaping through books): In the last weeks I also read a lot of YA so it's a nice change. "Discovery of Witches" is not fast paced and full of many little details and that's what I enjoy about it.

I hope that I will like Mara as much as I hope to.
