Abby and Dutch are finally moving to Austin and she is excited and nervous to start her new job as a Civilian Profiler at the FBI. She loves the feel of Austin but at first isn't sure how to handle her sceptic new coworkers. But soon they start to believe in Abby's unique talents.  After Abby and a coworker get hurt in a dangerous situation she is forced to pause from working at the FBI.
But Abby is not ready to do nothing so together with Candice she starts working on a series of cold cases. In all of the cases young girls were murdered.  Abby's job is not the only thing that is complicated, her private relationships also seems to be more complicated than ever. Will Abby be able to find the killer and solve the issues with Dutch?

The eigth book in the Psychic Eye series is one of my favourites. I enjoyed reading about Abby and Dutch's new life in Austin. I loved that their relationship continued to move on and at the end of the book I was very happy for both of them. I also liked how they handled the scepsis of her new coworkers and that Dutch and also Harrison both stood firm at her side.

It was also nice to learn more about the relationship between Candice and Harrison. I had to laugh when reading some of their scenes because they are both just so stubborn. The mystery part of the book was not too suspenseful but also not too easy to solve. The main case was a sad one but at least Abby and Candice managed to stop the bad guy.
After finishing "A Glimpse of Evil" I will definitely come back to read the next book in the series. The stories are always fun and I just love reading about Abby, Dutch and their friends.

The cover is ok, but not really connected to the story and the colours aren't my favourite.

"A Glimpse of Evil" is a fast-paced and very entertaining story. I loved reading about the changes in Abby and Dutch's life. #8 is one of my favourites in the series and I'm already excited to read the next book.

  1. I've heard good things about this series but not this author. I think it was last year or the year before she jumped all over a blogger for a lukewarm review so I never have picked up one of her books.

  2. Ladytink, I read about it too and have mixed feelings about it.
When reading the books I never think about it.

  3. I haven't heard of the series or the author. I wouldn't have picked it up on the cover though---so glad to know it had little do with the book :)
